MAAT CENTER DEMANDED THE RELEASE OF HASSAN ABDULLAH EL NAKHLAWY , THE COORDINATOR OF ' SINAI'S YOUTH FOR CHANGE MOVEMENT '

          Maat Center  followed the stay-in-strike of the family of Hassan Abdullah El Nakhlawy , the coordinator of ' Sinai's Youth For Change Movement ' , the 1^st youth  changing movement in this territory which is on the borders with the Palestinian occupied territories , and the member of ' Kefaya ' Movement and 'El Tagamoa' party . The seriousness of this event , as became clear to Maat , is in the attitude  of Security men who violate the law and attack the  sacredness of Sinai's houses as happened with the detained young man who was tortured , as his family asserted an his companies complained , in the State Security head quarter in El Arish before  driving him away to El Arab Tower ' Borg El Arab ' detention camp after he protested against arresting him without the Public Prosecution 's permission and against destroying his house by the Security men .

As his mother  declared , she received a call from one of the State Security officers who demanded to hand over Hassan's two brothers , Mohamed and Wael , who were detained in the wide haphazard detention campaigns after Taba explosions , and then  they have been released without any accusations . The officer told the mother, if they did not come to the State Security, this is considered a running away... And the punishment of the crime of running away in this area is killing!!

Also the seriousness in this situation lies in the deterioration of his healthy situation as he starts to go on a food strike few days  before , and the ignorance of his family and his lawyer of any information about him , and this is considered by Maat a clear and frank violation of  the law , conventions and related international  charters which give every detained person the  right to know the accusations he  is charged with and  to be brought to trial before a legislative investigation body and an ordinary judge , in the presence  of his lawyer  without violating any of these rights .

The most serious matter is in the form of the Security with the inhabitants of Sinai and the borders with the occupied Palestinian territories. This area which witnessed a clear Security disorder and many territorial operations, the victims of which were thousands of the innocent of Sinai inhabitants who have entered the detention camps without committing any sins.

Mat demanded the release of El Nakhlawy and also  demanded to accelerate releasing Sinai detainees who were detained after the previous explosions without any accusations or evidence , as these attitudes of the Security men might make them feel strange, humiliated and insulted inside their  country in which they themselves formed the 1^st defense wall against the repeated Zionist aggressions , one of its hidden forms might be the last terrorist operations .

Also the Center calls upon the Egyptian government to fill the wide space in Sinai by human masses and integral social developments that would  made the land of ' Turquoise' a real home for the Egyptians and not merely a place of tourism visited by the Egyptians in a seasonal way whenever they like . There is too much difference between 100thousands who lives for the sake of work in Sinai  and the 6 million of people which it needs for its  construction and for filling the space which induces the enemies to occupy it every now and  then .
