Maat compliments President Mubarak's situation of opening Rafah crossing point for the Palestinians and calls the Arabian judicial organizations to support dialogue among Palestinian authorities On 24th of Jan, 2008 Maat center is paying warm welcoming and support for President Mubarak's decision of opening Rafah crossing point by the Egyptian forces for the Palestinians, and granting them access to have their needs especially after the Israeli siege for Gaza strip became aggravated in a way that the Palestinians are on the verge of starvation because of food resources shortage, besides the absence of any regular medical care that resulted from the occupation's tight grip. However the center recommends President Mubarak's instructions of providing food supplies for the Palestinian people and giving chances for the civil assemblies and organizations who needs to help in establishing communication between the Arabs in Egypt and Palestine in a way that is apart from the political considerations and state of congestion that prevails among governments which concerning Egypt's responsibility of cross-border gunrunning to Palestinians, as these are all allegations rebutted by weapon mongers inside the territories dominated already by Israel since 1948. Despite of the President's humanitarian decisions, Maat center is calling all the Arab organizations to put an end to the siege laid upon the people of Palestine and to continue providing electricity and food that the Palestinian authorities have to take responsibility of stopping the recurrent feud since Hamas's occupation of power in order to prevent the Palestinian bloodshed, and that needs a popular "Arabian" intervention to reveal tranquility between all parties. The center believes that there is a solution represented in the intervention of research centers and Arabian judicial organizations as they are the best in understanding the region's history and its future challenges, just to reunify the Palestinian authorities on one single table gathering all styles of settlement for the purpose of reaching a real solution that means the closing of Palestinian ranks. Maat's point of view is that, the region is in a pressing need to activate the international law to protect Palestinians from the daily recurrent war crimes against them which contradicts with international charters including "La Haye rules" and articles 33 – 146 – 147 of 4th Geneva war customs-restricting agreement, just to protect the region from terrorism despite of the state of irritation that threats the collapse of international bonds between both governments and communities. However, the Arab diplomacy needs to be developed to face impact imposed on the region because of both war-supporting policies and terrorism sponsoring movements.
